Diabetes Friendly foods. It eliminates fruit juice, dried fruit, and added sugars as well as processed meats and red meats. All recipes are higher in fiber, and sodium is limited to 2300 mg/day. |
End Stage Renal Disease |
Dialysis Kidney Friendly foods. An eating pattern appropriate for adults on dialysis that is low in saturated fat and added sugars. This allows clinicians to moderate protein, potassium, phosphorus, and calcium. Sodium is limited to 2300 mg/day. |
Heart Disease |
Mediterranean Style foods. This eating pattern is based on guidelines published by The Mediterranean Diet Foundation Expert Group. This pattern is rich in plant foods (cereals, fruits, vegetables, legumes, tree nuts, seeds and olives), with olive oil as the principal source of added fat, along with high to moderate intakes of fish and seafood, moderate consumption of eggs, poultry and dairy products, and low consumption of red meat.
